Myriah

Dance Studio Instructor

Miss Myriah has been tumbling since she was in 3rd grade. She fell in love with the sport when her cousin showed her the most amazing trick which was to do a bridge kick over off the living room couch! She took gymnastics from a small town company called Moser's School of Dance and Gymnastics in Independence, Iowa.  She competed in tumbling and won numerous 1st place trophies.  In 1991 she received 2nd place at Nationals and in 1993 she won 1st place at the State Championship. Miss Myriah also trained at Moser's in dance and continued her love for dance in her high school drill team in Vinton, Iowa where she became captain and won choreography awards.  She also won a trip to Paris, France to dance in the New Year's Eve parade in 1994. She coached gymnastics through her college years and kept active in dance.

Miss Myriah landed a job as a 6th grade teacher at Southeast Polk Community School District in Pleasant Hill, Iowa in 2003 and took some adult hip hop classes with Sabetha. She then followed Sabetha's dream of opening her own dance studio. She continued taking adult hip hop class with her. Sabetha learned through this class that she was a gymnast and asked if she wanted to teach a tumbling class at Dance Vision. Miss Myriah continued her love for teaching tumbling for Sabetha for 10 years. She then took a few years off to explore her love for nutrition. She became a Specialist in Nutrition and started her own business and became Crossfit Certified and a coach. She missed her love for tumbling and her Dance Vision family and was blessed to be welcomed back with open arms to continue teaching tumbling.
